Project- Ellivo Architects Studio

Designer - Ellivo Architects

Photographer - Mindi Cooke

Builder - Fore Group

Ellivo envisioned a studio that would offer both character and versatility. It needed to accommodate a range of activities, from focused work to small and large meetings, casual gatherings, and formal events. The heritage of the building influenced the rhythm of the layout, creating distinct areas that are both connected and functional.

Ellivo recognised the importance of designing flexible spaces that support diverse work styles. With this in mind, Ellivo created quieter meeting areas for individual or small-group work, along with spaces for phone calls, larger scrum areas for project teams, and a long library and layout space along the central circulation spine to encourage interaction and creativity.

Incorporating acoustic lighting played a key role in creating a comfortable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environment. Waffle uplit pendants and Illi acoustic lighting solutions were chosen to complement the studio’s design, enhancing the acoustics and adding a warm, inviting atmosphere.
